Reports into: Warehouse Supervisor
Purpose of the Role:
To support the daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
Aims & Goals:
- To always manufacture to the company standard
- To continually follow manufacturing and H&S process
Key Tasks:
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock.
- Reporting any errors and / or faulty parts.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for delivery or collection.
- Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling equipment or forklifts (if certified).
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of shipments and documentation.
- Follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members and support other departments as needed.
- General housekeeping duties.
- Handling of returns and quarantines within the warehouse with close communication with other departments to ensure the efficient handling of such items.
- Any other duties required to support the business.
- Essential Qualifications, Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail ensuring quality and minimising errors.
- A flexible approach with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
- This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths and computer skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
