PL 40 Low Temperature Benchtop Steriliser

Low Temperature Vaporised H2O2 Steriliser with a Benchtop
Sychem’s PL 40 is a benchtop low-temperature sterilistation system. With a chamber volume of 52 litres / 1.84 cu ft, its reduced footprint makes it the ideal solution for small clinics or as a backup for CSSDs where space is at a premium. Our device is designed for terminal sterilistation of moist and heat-sensitive medical devices employing vaporised hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). It is suitable for surgical instruments in metal, metal alloys, light non-metallic alloys, micro-surgery, instruments with lumen with a maximum length of up to 2200 mm / 86.62″ and a minimum diameter of up to 0,5 mm / 0.02″.

Vaporised hydrogen peroxide sterilisation with SteelcoPro PL sterilising is safe, fast, and environmentally friendly – operating with low pressure and low temperature for protecting instruments and reducing energy consumption. With a manual hinged door, PL 40 features a PLC digital microprocessor with a 7″ colour touch screen HMI. The models of the PL Series are all Plug & Play, ready to be started quickly in any location.

    Hydrogen Peroxide emissions are up to 70 times lower than the most restrictive guidelines thanks to the triple safety system for reducing H2O2 release: plasma generator, catalysed converter, and an active carbon filter.

  • RFID or Barcode Recognition

    All the devices have the option of the Barcode or RFID scanner for easy and quick recognition of the operator and the load.

High Peformance

Five high-performance work cycles are programmed at the factory, validated, and available for running from the control panel:

Fast | Dedicated to non-lumened instruments with and without articulations

Flex | For flexible endoscopes, including DaVinci® instruments
Standard | For mixed loads: flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid lumens and non-lumened instruments

Intensive | For mixed loads: flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid lumens and non-lumened instruments with more challenging dimensions

Superfast | Ultra-fast cycle for reduced loads that can be activated as an option on all models of the PL range

RFID Cartridge with Poka-Yoke Design

The single-use cartridge (one cycle) avoids any waste due to the short expiry time of the sterilant after loading in the machine. The cartridge is equipped with an RFID identifier to prevent reuse, incorrect re-filling, or use after the expiry date, providing information on the production batch, expiry date, and H2O2 quantity. Ergonomic front-loading cartridge system with “poka-yoke” design.

Process Quality Focus

Ensuring efficiency and safety in every step of the sterilisation process is fundamentally important. With these aims, the Sychem PL range features a wide selection of tools: a humidity level check performed at the beginning of each cycle to control the humidity level and remove excess moisture; continuous monitoring of the process, with chamber pressure and temperature monitoring by redundant sensors, ensures optimal performance; an external plasma generator system guarantees better protection of the reprocessed instruments.
