Sychem was established in 1982 and has been working within the UK Biomedical and hospital sector for over 33 years; we have a wealth of experience that has allowed us to build a loyal and prestigious customer base. We are a well-respected organization that prides itself on its attention to detail and high quality of products and services. Working closely with our customers and supply partners we provide comprehensive solutions to disinfection and sterilisation requirements. With a team of over 26 people and growing based in the UK with national and international coverage Sychem

provide engineered solutions to hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical and biomedical facilities. From its humble beginnings as a chemical and service provider Sychem has grown to a leading supplier, launching its washer disinfection division in 2004 and its sterilisation and decontamination division in 2008 following an acquisition of Medical Physics International steriliser division, Sychem is a trusted name in providing specialist equipment combined with the highest levels of after sales support.

In 2009 Sychem launched its material handling division and is now manufacturing a range of automatic material handling systems, our automatic bedding dispensers are now sold in over 20 countries globally through our exclusive global supply partner Allentown Inc. In 2014 we see our launch of the patented Signum allergen containment system and are establishing trading links across the globe for this innovative product.

Our Experience

Sychem have successfully supplied, installed and commissioned equipment within some of the biggest names within the UK medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors. 2012 saw the completion of our first £1 million project with the Health Protection Agency. This project featured Sychem as the Principle Contractor with other trades such as building and M&E contractors being subcontracted . This project included the supply of 3 large autoclaves, 3 washing systems, 1 bottle processing system, 1 material handling system and a glassware washer dryer. The project required the successful tenderer to identify the most appropriate equipment for the facilities needs and identify the most effective design layout for the new equipment to be located within.
In addition to the above our client list includes NHS, BMI Health care and Spire Healthcare, all major universities, research facilities and contract research institutions . All sites have continued to use our high quality planned preventive maintenance and support service on all equipment supplied.

RCUK (Research Councils UK)

Sychem are an approved supplier to Research Councils UK and are detailed within the RCUK frame works agreement. During our tendering process in 2011 Sychem were awarded the highest score throughout all categories of our submission displaying outstanding value for money accompanied by industry leading technical merit and aftersales support for cage & bottle washers.

For over 85 years, Tuttnauer have been trusted by hospitals, universities, research institutes, clinics and laboratories throughout the world, supplying a range of high quality autoclaves to over 100 countries, Tuttnauer has earned global recognition as a leader in sterilization and infection control. Formed in 1925 Tuttnauer was formed on traditional family values and is today one of the few global manufacturers that is still owned by the founding family. In its 3rd generation Tuttnauer is sold throughout the world and is associated with universities such as Harvard, Cornel, UCL and Imperial College London, its full energies and resources are exerted in one area of expertise – sterilization and infection control. Tuttnauer is one of the few manufacturers that manufacture there autoclaves using high quality 316 stainless steel pipework in place of copper to promote long life and the highest level of autoclave up time. Steelco is a young and innovative company, trusted by hospitals, universities, research institutes, clinics and laboratories throughout the world, supplying a range of high quality washing solutions throughout 100 countries. Steelco has quickly earned global recognition as a leader in the manufacture of washer disinfectors. Formed in 1995 and based in Treviso, Italy, Steelco was formed on traditional family values and is today one of the few global manufacturers that is still owned by the founding family. Steelco products are distributed throughout the world and are associated with biomedical and hospital facilities such as University of Cambridge, Pfizer, Public Health England, UCL, Imperial College and the NHS within the UK. Beyond our shores Steelco exerts global presence through working with organizations such as UMASS Boston, University of Gothenburg, Takeda USA and Merck to mention a few.
