Sychem Validation and Testing Services
In healthcare, biomedical facilities, laboratories and other specialist environments, contamination and infection control, as well as safety and protection, are critical at all times. To ensure total security to the welfare of staff and animals, it is vital that all decontamination equipment undergoes validation and testing and evaluated regularly to certify they continue to meet all legal and safety regulations. Periodic validation of decontamination equipment is therefore required according to the Department of Health publications standards. Utilizing UKAS accredited test equipment your sterilization and washing systems are in safe hands, all test equipment used is independently calibrated to ensure temperature and pressure is accurate and verified.

Sychem are specialists in Decontamination Equipment Validation to the latest CFPP 01-01, EN15883, HTM 01-05 or the now archived HTM 2030 protocols. Our validation activities are conducted strictly in accordance with current standards of UK regulatory authorities and our validation team comprises of nationally accredited Competent Persons (Decontamination). The validation services can be provided as an independent test or it can be included in the PPM maintenance package. Sychem provides validation services to CFPP 01-01, EN15883, HTM 01-05 or HTM 2030 guidance for the following equipment:
- Washer Disinfectors
- Material handling systems
- Chemical Dosing Systems
- PET (Positron emission tomography) Systems
Steam & Water Quality Testing
Decontamination equipment relies on effective steam sterilization. To ensure maximum performance, continuous supply of dry, saturated steam is required. Sychem engineers have all the necessary equipment and technical expertise to carry out and report steam quality testing to the requirements of HTM2010, CFPP01-01, HTM2031 and EN285.
During our Quality Steam and Water tests, Sychem engineers collect the water and condensate samples from the decontamination equipment (including Washer Disinfectors and Endoscope Reprocessors) and RO water systems for particulate and microbiological laboratory analysis. All the samples are then sent to be analysed at one of the UK’s leading microbiology test laboratories. All the test results offer full comprehensive traceable reports included as standard.
